We build lifelong confidence.
We celebrate grit, curiosity, and personal growth. Real success is found in the resilience to get back up and try again after a fall.
Confidence isn't given; it's built one small win at a time. Through age-appropriate skill progressions and good trail judgment, riders discover what they are capable of and build lasting trust in themselves.
Mountain biking is better together. We cultivate an encouraging team culture where riders cheer each other on through challenges, celebrate together, and make real friendships on the trail.
"[My son's] confidence on a bike skyrocketed!
He learned that falling isn't the worst thing in the world [and] overcame his fear!"
Founder & Head Coach, Junior Rollers
I created Junior Rollers because of the joy I've found riding mountain bikes with my four kids. What started as wanting to teach my youngest son and his friends turned into something bigger. During our inaugural nine-week summer session, I saw firsthand the impact of focusing on the fundamentals — kids progressed and gained real confidence on their bikes, friendships were made, and a community was built. That experience only deepened my desire to keep on rolling.
Keep the summer momentum rolling. Our fall rides take riders' skills and endurance to the next level with longer, focused trail rides.
Each pop-up is a 2-hour Saturday morning clinic that pairs focused skill coaching with a real trail ride, capped off with warm cider and donuts at the finish line. Come to one, or come to all three — every session builds on the last.
$25 per rider per pop-up — includes coaching, snacks, and a custom sticker/patch.
"Riding with me previously [he] never pushed himself and gave up easily. Junior Rollers gave him the skills and confidence to be excited about mountain biking!"
"My son used to fall a lot while riding trails, especially cornering. After the lessons and building confidence, he is able to stay on his bike and tackle rough trails without taking a fall."
Designed for returning Junior Rollers and intermediate riders ages 9–12.
How do you know if your child is ready for singletrack trail riding? If they can handle a few miles of dirt, balance on a properly fitted mountain bike, and want to build confidence on climbs, they'll thrive in our fall pop-ups.
Junior Rollers is a foundation-first youth mountain bike coaching program based in Lehi and Draper, Utah. Founded by Head Coach Glen Gunnell (an 8-year NICA ride leader), the club teaches riders ages 9–12 essential body positioning, cornering, braking, and trail etiquette to build lifelong confidence on singletrack trails.
A child is ready for singletrack trail riding when they can comfortably ride a multi-gear mountain bike, operate hand brakes reliably. We focus beginner's on parking-lot skill foundations, while intermediate riders spend more time on trails.
With 8 years of experience leading NICA rides for Lehi High School, Coach Glen structures clinics around the exact skills, trail etiquette, and group riding safety needed for local NICA middle school and high school teams (such as Lehi, Lone Peak, and Skyridge). We bridge the gap between casual neighborhood riding and organized youth trail riding.
Yes. Junior Rollers prioritizes "Smart Risk & Decision-Making," teaching kids how to evaluate trail features, control speed through modulating brakes, and know when to "walk" an obstacle. Mandatory helmets, pre-ride bike safety checks, and small group ratios increases rider safety on trails.
Riders must bring a tuned mountain bike with hand brakes, a properly fitted helmet, water (hydration pack or bottle), close toed shoes, full-fingered bike gloves are nice to have. If weather will be chilly bring a light jacket. We recommend keeping packs light and removing kickstands.
You can cancel for a full refund up to 48 hours before any pop-up session. After that window, we will always attempt to transfer your rider's registration spot to a future session whenever possible.
